Frequently asked questions
What Kind of Comedy Do You Do?
What I do and how I do it depends on the gig and expectations but to answer directly: I perform high-energy stand up that's a mix of jokes, stories, crowdwork and improv. I adjust my material to the room I'm in to fit the tone of the event and have a long-range due to the amount of time I've been performing. I work clubs, theatres, festivals, corporate events, conferences, retreats and facilitate team building programs through my business The Other Comedy Company.
Are you rostered with a specific club?
I do headline and MC work through Absolute Comedy who I consider to be my home club but I'm not exclusively rostered to any one club and open to work other comedy clubs dependant on scheduling and availability.
Can you work corporate-clean and family-friendly?
Of course but we need to be clear about expectations going into the event. For example, if kids are present, I may not be sticking to just a standup set but go more improvisational and interactive to make it fun for everyone. At a corporate event, there are different definitions of what some organizations will be okay with and what others wouldn't be. Either way, I would never push boundaries at these events. That's what comedy clubs and theatres are for. But I would engage in a conversation during the booking process to understand what you mean when you say you're looking for clean entertainment and deliver what you ask for.

What do your keynote speeches focus on?
I am an ADHD creative & builder who specialize in using comedy to develop social and emotional skills so I cover a wide range of talks from leadership burnout, to repairing broken trust, to improving communication, to working with neurodivergence, to using comedy as a tool to change the DNA of your culture. I can customize to themes that match the goals and objectives of the organizations I'm working with.
Is this motivational speaking?
No. This is applied learning using humour. I’m not here to hype you up and vanish. I’m here to equip your team with things they’ll actually use when shit hits the fan.
Can you build a show or product for our org?
Yes, that’s a big part of what I do. We start with your audience and outcome, then reverse-engineer the structure to make it work.
What’s the process to book you?
To be me directly simply send me an email with the details of your request or if you're looking to book The Other Comedy Workshop™ fill out our intake form.
Are you available for custom projects?
Yes — I work with orgs to co-design programs and campaigns with comedy at the center. I’ve built toolkits, curricula, branded video, and youth workshops from scratch just to name a few.
Can I collaborate with you?
In regards to creative collaboration outside of corporate-work I take things project by project. If it's interesting enough, challenging enough and peaks enough curiosity to spark a commitment then I would be open to these kind of partnerships. I will specify that right now I am only interested in long-form video projects for creative collaborations outside of corporate work. That said, you can always book a call to pitch me what you have in mind and if it's juicy enough I might bite but it really depends with my current slate and what I got coming up.
Can I hire you for private coaching or consulting?
Yes but it's selective. I offer coaching for creatives looking to zero-in on their brand by helping them pinpoint their voice, story and immediate direction.
What’s your stance on censorship in comedy?
Comedy is subjective and as an art form I don't believe in censorship. It's my stance that the best comedians talk about what's funny to them and that comes with a certain level of risk depending on the subject material. That said, I also believe in professional comedy work, curation is key. I personally am not going to deliver uncensored comedy to an audience who isn't looking for uncensored comedy. I'm a professional and will fit the tone of the event. If anything does cross a line, it's important to mention that in a room full of people with different comfort thresholds that you're not going to please everyone. But I'll never have the intent to push boundaries in corporate or family-friendly settings.
